Laminated cotton – oilcloth’s more flexible cousin – is a 100% cotton fabric with a thin layer of polyurethane film attached to the patterned, right side of the fabric. The coating on this fabric is waterproof, food-safe, and biodegradable. This laminate has a similar weight and drape to an uncoated cotton, and it cuts and sews like a dream. Make a bike seat cover or reusable lunch sack, upholster a high chair, or stitch up a waterproof jacket! The possibilities really are endless. Note: This fabric can be machine-washed, but we recommend air-drying. Likewise, when pressing, always press from the wrong side on a very low setting.
